The Colleges Department has regional teams dedicated to our further education work. Regional Office staff primarily support branch officers in local negotiations and individual cases.

Members should try to contact their NATFHE Branch Officer before contacting their Regional Official. Members will be referred back to their branch officer if they have not made contact. Only in exceptional circumstances - for example, if your branch officer is off sick or on annual leave, or you have a complaint against a branch officer - should you contact your Regional Official. Branch Officers are ideally placed to deal with most internal institutional issues since they have experience of working in your institution and the way it operates. In addition, it helps to improve the overall efficiency by ensuring that issues being dealt with by Regional Offices are those where a branch genuinely needs help and support.
