NATFHE in Further Education : Landbased Education

Landbased colleges have faced hard times over the last ten years facing a declining industry and funding methodologies that have hit hard small rural specialist institutions.

NATFHE is the only organisations dealing with both professional and employment issues in the landbased colleges.

Wherever you work - in a college, adult education service, or voluntary organisation - NATFHE has a branch for you whose officers can offer information and advice.

Your branch is backed up by the expertise of professional staff in our national and regional offices.

Our Colleges Department of national and regional experts supports you at work and represents your views to employers and government. Christiane Ohsan is the national official based in the Colleges Department who is responsible for Landbased Education.

MEMBERS' SURVEY

NATFHE is carrying out a survey of all members employed in Landbased education. The purpose of this survey is to provide NATFHE with valuable information about our organisation. In particular the Union wants to hear from members on:
the support members receive from the union and how it can be improved;
the services that NATFHE provides to members;
what members think should be the union's priorities for the future.

This is entirely voluntary and the information provided will be treated confidentially. The quality of the results will depend on how many replies we receive. So it is important members take some time to fill in the questionnaire and return it promptly using the prepaid envelope provided.

Jeremy Waddington of the Manchester School of Management at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology is carrying out the work on this survey.
