NATFHE generally tries to resolve members' contractual problems through negotiation, and most problems are dealt with at a local level. If you need help with a matter relating to your employment, contact your branch secretary, who receives regular briefings on key employment and educational issues, or another branch officer. If you are not sure who your branch secretary is, contact your Regional Office or regional secretary. If the threat is urgent and you cannot contact your branch, you may contact your Regional Office direct. If your branch cannot resolve the problem through local negotiation and needs assistance handling the matter, it will approach appropriate officers or officials at Regional Office or Head Office. If your problem needs legal assistance, application must be made on a special form through your regional official and must have branch endorsement. Do not consult a solicitor unless told to do so by a union official; NATFHE will not meet unauthorised legal expenditure incurred by members.
