Help and Advice from NATFHE

Annual Benefit Statements

2004 is the first year that Teachers' Pensions is attempting to provide every serving member with a Benefit Statement. It has a rolling programme across the country with the employers passing on the statements to individual members of the scheme.

When you receive your statement please check it carefully to ensure that it is accurate. Check your service record and your final average salary. The information should be correct up to April 2003.

If there is anything wrong follow Teachers' Pensions advice and contact your employer who is responsible for providing the information. If you do not manage to get it sorted contact your branch officers for assistance. It is unlikely that you will be the only affected member.

The annual benefit statements should enable you to ensure your records are correct and enable hourly paid members to keep a close check on their pension.
