Salary: Scale 5 (£20,367 to £21,714) p.a. plus London Weighting of £3,186 p.a. Based in our London Regional Office at Headquarters in King’s Cross WC1

You will give preliminary advice and information to members and Branch Officers.

Taking part in branch survey work and organising training sessions for Branches will also be part of your duties.

You will assist in recruitment and organisation work and with the processing of industrial action ballots. As well as dealing with correspondence, you will develop and maintain efficient systems and be responsible for the upkeep of office records.

Good written and oral communication skills will be required. Practical experience in running a busy office and telephone advice work is essential, along with a thorough knowledge and experience of the Microsoft Office suite.

You will need an understanding and commitment to Equal Opportunities principles and policies and a proven commitment to the aims of the trade union movement or similar not-for-profit organisation. An ability to work under pressure, with minimal supervision, will also be required.
