NATFHE members are being urged to attend the launch event of the joint union 'Public Services Not Private Profit' campaign on the 29 March.
Public services and public service workers are facing unprecedented pressure from Government plans for privatisation and job cuts. In health, education, local government, prisons and probation and in every department of central government services are being forced into the private sector.
ASLEF, CYWU, FBU, NAPO, NATFHE, NUJ, PCS, POA and RMT believe that trade unions have an important role in alerting people to the consequences of these privatisation policies.
For this reason NATFHE is urging members to participate in the launch of the campaign to highlight the threat to our public services. The campaign aims to bring together trade unions from across public sector, linked to MPs, and organisations representing those who depend upon our public services.
