The campaign to stop the £3000 cap on top-up fees being lifted has begun in earnest after the launch of "Coalition 2010". The Coalition is an alliance of the unions (NUS, NATFHE, AUT, NUT, ATL and NASUWT) who worked together previously to prevent the introduction of variable fees.
The coalition was launched on 17 January with an Early Day Motion (EDM) urging the Government not to increase the £3000 cap. This will be followed by a week of action in early March, including a lobby of parliament on 1 March 2006.
