Pay Latest

Since the national strike in November NATFHE has been pressing for negotiations to resolve the current dispute over the 2005/6 pay claim. The AOC has now agreed to exploratory talks in February.

The Further Education Committee of the National Executive meets on Friday 20 January and further information will be available to branches as soon as possible during the following week.

The latest information we have on the current state of play is as follows:

  • the number of colleges reaching settlements on the new pay scale has now increased to 115 (41% of total colleges)
  • 65 colleges has paid 3% or above for 2005/6 (23% of total colleges)
  • 44 colleges have paid or intend to pay 2.8% - the employers offer. (16% if total)
  • 76 colleges have paid less than 2.8% or nothing (27%).
